Cara Hesselin, Senior Communications Advisor, HORIZONS REGIONAL COUNCIL
Quiet Storm played at the inaugural Manawatū River Festival and were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were organised and accommodating in the lead up, offered to share their drumkit with other bands, turned up early on the day and put on a fantastic performance. We would use them again in a heartbeat.
Mike West, Morning Show Host, MOREFM
I’ve just had the pleasure of working with Quiet Storm and I was so impressed. I help run a very popular community Food Truck Event in the Palmerston North Square over summer. Having a background in radio, it’s my job to organise the entertainment so I put a request out on MoreFM Manawatu for advice on great Palmy bands. Our texting screen went nuts with suggestions. The name “Quiet Storm” came through the most so I hit up their website. Debs contacted me back almost immediately, keen as to help. She offered me two options: the big full noise band, or an acoustic cut down version of the band. The acoustic version of the band appealed to me so the arrangements were put in place. On the actual night, a three piece version of the band turned up early and we’re fully set up way ahead of time. We had a big night that night and according to feedback from the public, as well as the Food Truck owners themselves, Quiet Storm were amazing. The beautiful smells from 12 of the region’s top food trucks and the music of Quiet Storm, as the sun was setting, made it an excellent night with people sitting around on the grass till the very end. I can imagine this band working well in any setting and have no hesitation in recommending them.
Jon Hogan, Entertainment Co-Ordinator, RELAY FOR LIFE – MANAWATU 2018
Quiet Storm played at Relay For Life – Manawatu 2018. As the Entertainment Co-ordinator of the event, I needed a band with a familiar upbeat set that would appeal to wide ranging audience. But I had one other request. I needed the band to slow their set down at the end to lead in to a quiet, candle light ceremony, which they did superbly. As this was the opposite to the flow of most gigs, I was impressed with their professionalism in abiding by my request, and by the positive feedback I received about Quiet Storm from the audience. I’ve invited Quiet Storm back to play at our 2019 event; that has to be the best endorsement I can give.
Tracy and Mark Harland, FANCY DRESS PRIVATE FUNCTION

Renée Pink, MoreFM Morning Host and MC, RELAY FOR LIFE – MANAWATU 2014
I had the pleasure of working with Quiet Storm at Relay For Life 2014. With a variety of rocking music to suit all ages, Quiet Storm were the highlight of what was an all day/night event. The musicianship of the band and the sassy lead singer had the crowd rocking away during their set. I highly recommend Quiet Storm for any function. If you need an energetic band with the best repertoire of music around, then Quiet Storm is the band to choose!
Steve Gill, Manager, BRUNTON ENGINEERING
Quiet Storm have for the the last two years been hired to provide entertainment at our company corporate dinners. On both occasions we have found them to be exceptional in their presentation and music style. We have received many compliments from our guests and a lot of this was a result of the entertainment. We have no hesitation in recommending Quiet Storm for any function you may have in mind and look forward to seeing them again.
Alecia Rousseau, THE GUARDIAN
A pair that had the crowd going was Quiet Storm. They brought this amazing voice to the stage and wowed with their rendition of Chains.
